The Israel anti-boycott legislation being brought before the Senate tomorrow would give states a free pass to restrict First Amendment protections for millions of Americans. Despite my strong support for Israel, I oppose this bill because it clearly violates the Constitution.

Yes - Israel has nothing to do with the US so protecting them from boycotts is none of the business of the US. If Israel wants to avoid boycotts then they can end their occupation of the Palestinians. Simple as that...

As one of your constituents, then please don’t vote on this or any other bills, until McConnell brings a bill to the floor to reopen the government.

Sounds like this pro-Israel / pro-Authoritarian legislation is purely a sop to
#Netanyahu after the proposed#Syria withdrawal fiasco.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Forget that - why does my government think they can decide what I can or can't boycott? This is as suspicious, ridiculous, and offensive bill.

My excellent Senator,
@RonWyden spoke to this bill at a town hall this weekend. He specifically said that it would not impede citizen’s rights to free speech. Now@SenFeinstein says the opposite. I’m confused. And please explain why we need anti boycott laws for any country? -
I really admire Sen. Wyden but Sen. Feinstein is absolutely correct about priorities. Open the government, deal in good faith for once, then maybe we’ll talk.

Thank you for your clear thinking. Right now the priority should be getting the Govt back to running (and protecting the Constitution.)
