I dont need elected officials as a proxy for my charity. You tax me and then decide who needs aid. This is clearly not the role of the federal government.

To add, where in the constitutions does it obligate us to send tax dollars to foreign countries? People wonder why the govt is not transparent with their itemizing.

Maybe you and the rest of the congress can donate your tax payer paid paychecks, pensions, and lobbiest kick backs to help out. The tax payers are tired of paying for your "good deeds".
