Great to see the FDA bar the use of lead acetate. This is an ingredient in some men’s hair dyes and exposure may be harmful. While this is a good first step, lead acetate is just one of many ingredients in personal care products that needs further safety evaluation.

Our bill would require the FDA to regularly review the safety of widely-used ingredients currently found in products like shampoo, hair dye, nail polish and makeup. Current regulations have barely changed since 1938! It’s time for an update. http://www.feinstein.senate.gov/public/index.cfm?a=files.serve&File_id=CD70ECB6-BA76-4A2D-B157-35BBF8E1E87F …

Senator, this is fantastic news. There are 100s of chemicals used in products here in the US that are banned in Europe. Anything you put on your skin goes into your bloodstream. There’s no filter for these toxins and they can lead to cancer and autoimmune, plus more. Thank you.

They're testing and banning toxic chemicals that are shown to cause health problems in humans. Not to mention they're an independent nonpartisan agency that looks out for the public good. (Well, in theory while fully funded and supported anyway) So much for "reality" right?

You know what else has been around since the late 30's and not changed? White Nationalism... we should, you know, fix that too.

Gota give the agency the resources and ability to recruit more than chair warmers. ClarenceDanielson in nashville was a liabilty that greatly harmed the women he accousted in the agency, including those at the atlanta training in 1993. Lowered morale considerably.
