Great to see the FDA bar the use of lead acetate. This is an ingredient in some men’s hair dyes and exposure may be harmful. While this is a good first step, lead acetate is just one of many ingredients in personal care products that needs further safety evaluation.
Our bill would require the FDA to regularly review the safety of widely-used ingredients currently found in products like shampoo, hair dye, nail polish and makeup.
