One year after the tragedy in Las Vegas, Republicans still oppose commonsense gun laws that will help keep us safer. The shooter used legally purchased assault weapons and bump stocks to take 58 lives. Today, someone could still stockpile the same arsenal. We have to stop this.

I live in Sweden. We have ca 1 death per million each year from gun shots. We have strict gun laws, I've never seen a civilian with a gun in my 35+ years. We also live longer, happier lives because we have affordable health care etc.

And maybe we're happier BC we don't have as many who believe in and peddle constantly theories. And no, were not a totalitarian country.

One year was ample time for republicans to apply common sense gun laws. Due to Republican negligence, more mass shootings are certain. How big will the next one be? Will you or your children be in the next---big one?

Educate yourself Mr. Jones. There are PLENTY of gun laws on the books. Laws don't keep crazy people from using them.

Diane, I spent 30 years in law-enforcement and the military and have yet to see a law anywhere on any books in any country that keep guns out of the hands of criminals, maybe with all your vast secrecy and intelligence you can tell us all how it actually works. Wake up!
