I’ve joined my colleagues in condemning these remarks and calling for President Trump to apologize. Puerto Ricans need improved recovery efforts, not insulting tweets from the president. http://www.feinstein.senate.gov/public/index.cfm?a=files.serve&File_id=566FC9FB-282A-4B10-BFF8-99D7F41FE357 …

They suffered tremendously under their own local government. Place the blame where it is due. Your constant hateful tweets are beneath the dignity of an elected official.

Senator why not call out the inaction of the PR government. Why is there 20k gallons of bottled water rotting on a runway? The American people want to know.

I really dont think a study from a college far away from Puerto Rico can accurately judge what the deaths really were. It was reported initially at around 65 people and then rose to 3000.

Those were immediate deaths. We’re also talking about homes that were flooded, people who died because they were in the hospital and could not get care. Of course a college can do research on a problem across country from them.
