Drug addiction and overdoses have reached crisis levels and are having a devastating impact on our country. That’s why I’m proud to be a cosponsor of the Opioid Crisis Response Act, a package of bills that the Senate will vote on tonight to address this crisis.
This opioid package reauthorizes the Office of National Drug Control Policy and drug courts to help end the opioid crisis while also providing law enforcement with new tools to face the rise of fentanyl use in America.
With all due respect, Senator, I have reached out to Sen Murphy & Sen Blumenthal re: Chronic Pain Patients. While you are waging this "war on opioids", are you able to guarantee CPP access to the very medications that help us get by day to day?

Every single night. I don't know how to stop this hellish pain, insomnia, depression, and the story on "repeat" in my brain.
If I didn't have 2 wonderful kids, I'd be outta here for good.
Any provisions for chronic pain patients, the collateral damage in all of this? We aren't abusing our medication but still get lumped together with people using them illegally. People are killing themselves because they can no longer get pain relief. We just want our lives back.
Thank you Jamie! They refuse to separate Substance abuse disorder and medical dependency. We are not criminals, we do not abuse our medication. We suffer every day with chronic pain
