Actually, quite the contrary, it should be decided by my service provider considering they are the ones providing the service. However, by you're logic: your government shouldn't decide your freedoms or laws.

Horrible rule and we should never have changed in first place. I totally disagree and been a digital pioneer since mid 1990’s and even helped launch an early digital agency in San Francisco in 1999.

All businesses have the right to choose the goods and services they provide to their customers. These companies are not stupid, should Verizon or Comcast start restricting internet access, some no-name company would just provide unrestricted access and steal all the business.
