It’s unforgivable that so many veterans are homeless and living on the streets. They served our country; it’s now our duty to serve them and make sure they have the resources they need to carry on their lives.

My understanding is that part of the barrier to affordable housing in CA is the high cost of building permits, partly in response to Prop 13. Perhaps this is something that can be addressed legislatively, to give assistance to builders who want to build affordable housing.

The homeless problem here has gotten out of hand. In this heat, there’s also an issue of health and safety. I hope plans were made to make a difference.

So what are you doing to home the homeless in LA and SF? Nothing? Pushing them to San Bernardino county like you do the criminals you release from those areas? Come up with local solutions. Act locally. Other counties aren’t your dumping ground in favor of a city’ ‘desirables’.
