Wouldn’t that hurt the housing market if you incentivized people to rent instead of buy?

average home prices in my town have more than doubled in the past 15 years, while income has gone up only twenty percent. There is no incentive to rent. It's all we can do.

NOOOOOOO! Don't let CA off the hook for Tax&spend boondoggles driving up housing costs in CA where Mandatory Solar boondoggles on New Housing & other assorted crap makes it unaffordable to live in CA & why.? 10,000,000 sanctuaried Clifornia illegals paid to vote by Democrats !
-
Lol. Immigrants aren’t driving up housing costs. Lack of massive housing subsidies - like those that built the middle class after WW2 - constricts supply and discourages affordable developments. But sure, get all frothingly fact-free and racist. That’s all you’ve got, I suppose.

tax credit? Like the one Trump gave all of us? The one all you lefties said was so terrible? The one that put money back into our pockets? Here's a thought...lower the local, city, and state taxes and you wont have to give a credit.
-
No, one that actually benefits poor and middle class instead of millionaires

So what kind of tax credit do homeowners get?
-
property tax? mortgage interest? points on loans? Or did those go away in the "tax reform" bill? (I honestly don't know if they did or not)
