Why is it we can agree on this statement, but can't agree that if they do seek asylum or refuge, they should come here and apply for those protections LEGALLY? If you think the system for legal application is inefficient, then work on legislation to fix it.
We’re a country founded by refugees and immigrants. From the beginning, America has been a refuge for all manner of people seeking a safe place for their families to build a life. #WorldRefugeeDay should remind us of the countless contributions refugees have made to the U.S.
