His death is one of my most vivid childhood memories. It was my dad's birthday, he was driving me to school (I was in 2nd grade) while nearly sobbing, & I'd never seen him cry before. I asked him why he was crying & he said "I just lost my best friend." #RFK50
50 years ago we lost Robert F. Kennedy to a senseless act of violence. We would do well to remember his message of compassion and dogged determination to help the disadvantaged live with dignity in our country.
