In 2009, Colorado lost the Rocky Mountain News & the Denver Post's staff has shrunk from 250 to less than 100 in the last few years. Across the country we have seen a similar trend and the loss of local journalism is something that should matter to all of us, regardless of party.
Local journalists cover stories that matter to our communities, hold elected officials in the state -- including me -- accountable, and make sure that the voices of all four corners of Colorado are heard so we can bring people together.
Maybe you could donate some of that $3M of NRA blood money to save them
If they weren’t so left leaning I would have kept my subscription going but get tired of reading one side biased stories. Real journalists are a dying breed that could report the facts equally on all sides
You've surprised me with this tweet, but the elephant in the room is Trump. He attacks the press, labels anything he disagrees with as "fake news," and persuades voters to discount inconvenient facts by peddling a false narrative of wide-spread liberal media bias. It's dangerous.
