In 2009, Colorado lost the Rocky Mountain News & the Denver Post's staff has shrunk from 250 to less than 100 in the last few years. Across the country we have seen a similar trend and the loss of local journalism is something that should matter to all of us, regardless of party.

If they weren’t so left leaning I would have kept my subscription going but get tired of reading one side biased stories. Real journalists are a dying breed that could report the facts equally on all sides

You've surprised me with this tweet, but the elephant in the room is Trump. He attacks the press, labels anything he disagrees with as "fake news," and persuades voters to discount inconvenient facts by peddling a false narrative of wide-spread liberal media bias. It's dangerous.
