I've yet to set one major employer announce long-standing upward wage adjustments across the board. Get back to us when that happens, until then you aren't convincing anyone this tax bill isn't a compete joke.
No, but we have seen massive layoffs from the same employers that are touting these “one-time” bonuses like Wal-Mart and AT&T. These payments are just political cover so they can go about business as usual.
The key phrase is "one-time." This is not an increase in wages. It looks good to do this up front before the new regs even take effect. After that GOP will stop noticing what companies do with their windfall from tax breaks.
