Yesterday I chaired an emergency @SenateForeign Subcommittee hearing on the protests in Hong Kong. We were privileged to hear from those on the front lines of the battle for freedom, autonomy, and human rights. The U.S. must support their cause.pic.twitter.com/3FsxUshIRo

Dear Senator, thank you for your continuous support towards #HongKong . The fact is CCP’s vicious plots to suppress democracy & human rights has seen no improvements over the last decades. And we all know, they never will. They are a totalitarian regime.

And the recent brutal suppression on #Xyghurs n #HongKoners are hard evidence. Tortured, beatings , and even silencing activists are their ways of oppression. @nathanlawkc ‘s remarks are both unrealistic and misleading. He certainly does not represent the vast majority of HKers.

Thank you @SenCoryGardner but I hv to point out Nathan Law such pan-democrats do not represent all of us. He's just another Martin Lee 20 yrs ago, who naively believed China will transform and rule democratically, which led to HK's crisis today. China could only be sanctionedpic.twitter.com/9PpgXH2k4a

Thank you Senator! Pls note Nathan Law only represents his niche group of "Democratic China" believers who are benefited in this system. Most of us in pro-freedom bloc have lost hope completely. We support of full universal suffrages, autonomy, and HK-China segregation now.

Thank you Senator Gardner for showing your support to Hong Kong! Unfortunately, things are not that optimistic as Nathan Law thought that CCP will”change “ . CCP is the biggest growing dictatorship, a threat to world. Hong Kong need autonomy, CCP should be sanctionedpic.twitter.com/eBwgAAnXNx

Hi, I'm Cory Gardner. It's real easy for me to support freedom and autonomy when it's abstract and across the globe. Please don't bother me with any questions about the President holding military weapons hostage in exchange for the prosecution of a civilian.

Thank you sir We do not agree Nathan Law's opinion that China will democratize, he just represents his small political group of "Democratic China". Based on the history the China CCP is a totalitarianism regime and a suppressor of human rights. Never dance with the devil!pic.twitter.com/T3nF2Ow8M3
