The attack on Saudi Arabia’s oil facilities underscores the need for the US to harden energy infrastructure & increase our energy independence. Radical policies like the Green New Deal & supporting a federal ban on fracking would only increase our reliance on foreign resources.

Cool gaslighting, @SenCoryGardner. Energy independence would make us less reliant on foreign energy resources. The attack and resulting oil price jump highlights the need for us to move away from fossil fuels. #copolitics

Yeah—renewables will only increase our dependence on the sun and the wind. America can’t afford to get in bed with such unreliable allies.

In other words, you want to do more to defend against attacks on Saudi oil than you do to defend against attacks on our democracy.

Or, and bear with me here, we can revolutionize our energy production systems by investing in an arms race for...renewables and grid improvements and batteries nationwide! Our very dumb dependence on dead dinosaurs 🦕 is the actual problem you soon to be unemployed monster.

Really? Building out solar, wind, and geothermal on American land increases interdependence with foreign sources? Maybe if it’s Huawei, but I really don’t see that happening; your fear speaks for itself Senator. Transitioning away from fossil fuels will make America independent.

Building renewable energy would increase our reliance on foreign resources? Enjoy your remaining time in DC.
