We have our political disagreements and we should cherish the rights to express our disagreements. But when it comes to calls for violence and attempted murder and assassinations this country has gone too far and it’s time we step back from that brink.

I'm sorry for the graphic text message your wife received but literally nobody is calling for violence or attempted murder or assassinations. Why not issue a call for civility when a Trump rally crowd chants LOCK HER UP? When Trump says he'll pay the legal fees for violent thugs?

I would respect and appreciate the call for civility if you were willing to critically look at the incivility on the Republican side. Instead, every example you cite (like the dumb Holder quote) is accusing Democrats, revealing your concern to just be partisan talking points.
