I introduced the bipartisan STATES Act with @SenWarren because we need to take a states' rights approach to the legal marijuana question. Our bill will ensure the federal government respects the will of the voters and not interfere in CO's legal marijuana industry.
Our bill does not legalize marijuana. Instead, it allows the principle of federalism to prevail as the founding fathers intended and leaves the marijuana question up to the states. I will give you credit Sen.Gardner for at the very least, caring about the financial stability of our state. On this matter you are supporting Coloradans, although not on the very destruction of our democracy where you sit by while Tump attacks the foundation of our republic.
