Yesterday, the Senate spoke loud and clear by overwhelmingly expressing support for our efforts to ensure Congress plays its appropriate role in the implementation of national security-designated tariffs.

Tariffs are a tax on the American people, and as the U.S. economy and American businesses and consumers begin to feel the damaging effects of incoherent trade policy, I believe support for our legislation will only grow. We will continue to push for a binding vote.

It has become abundantly clear that the GOP cannot govern. Half of them will ensure the poor become poorer and the rich richer whilst the rest are borderline anarchocapitalists. They do not stand for human rights, minority rights, women's rights and the rights of the poor.

The entire GOP is responsible for this and GOP voters will only understand the ramifications of their actions through suffering. Because they are experiential learners, it doesn't matter how much they are told the GOP is not on their side. They must feel the suffering.

Senator Corker you never answered why Ivanka Trump and the Trump organization businesses is excluded from tariffs. You would on the Foreign Affairs committee why don't you investigate why don't you bring it up you have nothing to lose anyway you're leaving.

I appreciate your efforts, but I've given up hope. I left the GOP and I have NO hope while Trump is in office, those representatives will find the balls to do the right thing. They would rather sell us out than piss him off. I am SO ashamed to be American right now.
