As I travel throughout the Baltics this week in my role as chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, it is clear that Russia’s destabilizing behavior continues to impact the region.

@senBobCorker, I implore you. Please acknowledge (even just to yourself) that Donald Trump is a bonafide asset of Vladimir Putin. And then do your damnedest to see that he is removed from office. Whatever it takes. We have fallen into enemy hands. Drastic measures are required -
Utter hogwash. Trump may be a lot of things - incompetent, inconsistent, childish, insane, but none of those things are in the interests of Russia, or of Europe, or of the US. He is no asset of Putin's !

I used to read the Guardian, until it was clear that they printed even more lies than most other papers. I now get my news from a variety of sources. I recommend that you do the same - and include some Russian and other sources too,
-
I hope you’re not seriously suggesting that RT and Sputnik are anything other than mouthpieces for Kremlin propaganda.
-
LOL! He just told you to read Kremlin propaganda! LOLOLOL

It balances your all-American exceptionalist propaganda. You may see things from a different angle if you read news and opinions from different sources. Use your own brain cells, and try to understand how they are ALL trying to twist your attitudes and beliefs.

Time for Republicans to stand up for OUR Democracy. "Your" President has done absolutely nothing to protect our democratic processes from continued hostile foreign attacks. Rather, he defends the Russian Dictator who invaded Crimea. You may not care, but your grandchildren will.
-
Interestingly, risk analysts say that even the smartest people don't care about much other than themselves. Caring for others or worrying about the future of children & grandchildren is a learned behavior that requires higher level brain functions. The
@GOP generally lacks that. -
I hear you. Yet some do care. Perhaps
@SenBobCorker is one who loves. It is normal to love our children and their children. As I love my brother's children and their children. And acquired nephews like you. Why do you think I#Resist this regime? I am Corker's age. It is for you. -
Thank you! Yes, some do. Let's hope their better angels govern. Yes, we do care for another; though, it has to be taught & learned. Some choose not to learn empathy... like

Nature versus nurture. Liberals have empathy genes. Ruled by openness. Conservatives are not open or empathetic. They are ruled by fear. Nature. Yes, people can be taught to do the right thing. Nurture. But fear is a powerful drive and can overwhelm good teaching. Rule of thumb.
-
This is exactly why Trump and despots like him are SO dangerous! They play into people whose fears are locked into their DNA. There is scientific evidence showing conservatives prefer authoritarian governance.

Pardon me for being cynical that you will do anything more than talk as Russia walks away with Crimea with Trump's blessing.
-
It's nothing to do with Trump's blessing. It's the people of Crimea who decided. They wanted no part of a Nazi regime in Ukraine installed with US connivance. They voted legitimately. Exercised their UN Charter right of self-determination

Hi, Sean! I like stirring them from their exceptionalist complacency from time to time. It pollutes my timeline, so I try not to do it too often.
