I will oppose the confirmation of Judge Amy Coney Barrett, as I would any nominee proposed as part of this illegitimate sham process, barely one month before an election as Americans are already casting their votes. Americans deserve a voice in this hugely consequential decision.

I would, just to ask her why she doesn’t think accepting a nomination under these circumstances isn’t disqualifying.
-
I would ask why we have barely had a change IN ANYTHING IN YEARS. Why do I still need to talk about abortion but it's ok to be pregnant and birth a baby I might not want. Than I have to decide to raise and fund it. Is SHE GOING TO FUND THEM ALL?

Thank you, Senator Blumenthal. I had no doubts you would not vote to confirm her. Please call and talk with your colleagues who may not do the same.

That doesn't change that it IS legitimate, and honestly why is Congress permitted to be such lazy jerks.
-
No, it isn't legitimate. The GOP is corrupt from the top down. Shame on you for defending fascism.

It's more legitimate than your service in Nam.

I can't believe
@SenBlumenthal is still around and not hiding in perpetual embarrassment, but it's amazing what you can do if you are shameless. - Show replies

I don't think she deserves consideration as voting has already begun and the seat should be filled by the new President, be who it may. But - everyone should have lengthy meetings with her to prolong the process as long as possible.

We have a seated President and a seated Senate. They are, as Ginsburg implied, still in office.pic.twitter.com/D3etamxoXh
