The President has not accepted culpability & instead chooses to blame others for the storm's consequences rather than take action to help Puerto Rico rebuild.https://www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/2018/national/a-year-after-hurricane-maria-a-puerto-rican-town-is-still-in-upheaval/?utm_term=.865b2a4a4f2a …

On this anniversary my thoughts are with all those still recovering & displaced by the storm. I call on Trump to honor the victims, help still struggling evacuees, & establish proper preparations for future storms.

I don't think some in power really consider our Puerto Rico brothers and sisters as U.S. citizens, resulting in inaction and actual increased deaths, very sadly.

Houston here. You obviously have never experienced a cat 4-5 hurricane. A fact: until logistics and coms are established, you are on your own. So you'd better be prepared or you're screwed. Simple stuff: the Navy can't deliver aid to an island if the ports/airports are closed.
-
Check your facts Houston, this administration sat on it's hands. I don't care what the infrastructure was before the storm but there's only one reason the island is still without power and water in many places. Crazytown is running the show.

Had nothing to do with rampant corruption in PR?
-
Had everything to do with negligence, racism and incompetence in Washington DC.
-
No fault of local corruption Larry? Ever been or worked in PR?
-
Frank is right Larry. Im from PR, and have family in PR. We have suffered for decades of corruption by the scum Gov of PR. Not Trumps fault. Believe me.

Over 70% of Puerto Ricans say otherwise.

Muchos aún sufren en Puerto Rico. A Trump le importa menos Puerto Rico. Los puertorriqueños nunca deben votar republicanos

The "staggering inaction and mismanagement" came from the democratic run government of Puerto Rico. Just have a discussion with someone that was there and saw what was going on before using this disaster as a Trump attack. Chat with
@GeraldoRivera for a reality check! -
You mean the greatest military in the world could not deliver? The military doesn't have a base in Puerto Rico.
-
It doesn't? U.S. Coast Guard and Puerto Rico National Guard facilities are located in PR. Muñiz Air Base (the C-130 Fleet) and the U.S. Army's Ft. Buchanan. What does that have to do with the PR government leaving DELIVERED supplies to rot in their warehouses?
-
I think Buchas should sit back down. Thank you
