More needs to be done to combat the opioid crisis. The administration declared a public health emergency in October but allocated no new funding. Today, I asked GAO to review the administration’s actions to combat this crisis to ensure all available resources are being used.pic.twitter.com/X54IkBBcNx

You might find this instructive. Not a peep from you as Mexican drug runners brought opioids across the border. Did ya know Mexico is the leading exporter of opioids into the US?https://www.politico.eu/article/obama-hezbollah-the-secret-backstory-of-how-let-off-the-hook/ …

I finally was approved for medical marijuana in October for chronic severe intractable non-malignant pain which doesn't have a surgical solution, or to put simply: my spine and assoc. muscles are jacked up. I eliminated 5 Rx pills with cannabis, now my only drug.

Pharma and the Medical Industry are to blame and should be held accountable. Every pill sold on the street Pharma still profits from. Addiction is very profitable just ask tobacco. Till the addicts money, job home, are gone, and they turn to supporting terrorism, by using heroin

Ranking is based on what Legislature appropriates so Governor Scott would need to answer this question. In regards to opioid help...the $27million Governor announced last spring? That was federal money for opioid crisis. Thanks @SenBillNelson and @marcorubio for getting that $.

🤔The president was the responsible of the declaration of the opioid epidemic as a public health emergency, but was only a publicity charade ,as always, with no real positive effect on the problem. That's what we don't have new funds or actions!!!Good luck Senator!!!🤨😒😑😡

To coin a phrase, “The drugs are just a symptom of the disease.” Find out why people are willing to throw their lives away rather than participate in society in a healthy manner. I suspect it’s because society itself is deeply-ill.

Talk is cheap from the Administration because it does not effect the 1% in the same way as the 99% who cannot afford to get the help they need. The 1%, no problem getting help, they self insure against their problems.

Thank you for asking. Any ideas on when we will be getting a competent leader (replacement for the 24 yr old) for this crisis? Or is current leadership just going with ‘build the wall’?

I agree, however, a replacement with a nonaddicting cocktail using THC extract as a base & aspirin or another such pain relief w/continuing pain management group therapy program to help ensure no abuses of the THC.

Want to combat the opioid crisis, prevent it from coming into the country in the first place.
