nope, I don't support this as felons have to remember that you do your time and pay the consequences of the crimes committed...pic.twitter.com/bAZ5wWF2XO

They are already allowed to vote in almost all other states. Why should Florida be different? Oh, I know. Jim crow laws should still be in effect
-
Jim Crow needs to go!! Non violent felons should be given their right to vote as in many other states. Republicans are afraid of the demographics of how they’ll vote if given the chance. No more gerrymandering. No more voter suppression.

The Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church (
@FLUMC ) lobbied the Florida House and Senate this week to restore civil rights to former prisoners. Pray with us for a breakthrough! - 1 more reply

Well if FL can have the guy convicted of the biggest Medicare fraud in history as governor & countless politicians with criminal records then EVERYBODY should be able to vote.

Yes it is, thank you
@SenBillNelson! Along with recent victories in other states with defeating partisan#Gerrymandering district maps, this is but one piece of the puzzle to restoring a more robust and representative democratic republic! Everyone deserves a voice!#SecondChancesThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

You should NEVER have your right to vote taken for any reason....PERIOD... If you are in prison you should be able to vote in the jail. .. You are STILL a citizen of the United States.,

If these people cannot get their basic rights restored they can be legally discriminated against. No housing or jobs possibly. What do you expect them to do? Give them a chance and restore their rights.

I am a disabled veteran. Never been arrested in my life. For 8 years I fought to get the voting rights restored for non-violent felons coming out of prison with the ACLU of Florida. If these people cannot get their rights restored how do you expect them to become good citizens.

This is despicable! First you support illegal aliens over Floridians and now you want Convicted Felons to vote. The VIrginia election was won by allowing convicted felons to vote. We will vote No to your re election.

Yes sir ! I heard a long time ago that the law prohibiting ex felons from voting was because judges feared the felons would vote them off the bench. Well Americans don't act like that, Not even felons. So yes let them vote.

No felons do not get to vote. That's the price you pay for being a convicted felon.
-
They do in almost every other state in our country. You can be a felon for something like tampering with an odometer. You should loose your voting rights for life for that? Join the real world please.
-
Don't mess with an odometer.
