With all due respect senator, accepting Senator McConnell’s word on this matter is a fools errand. Your caucus needs to stand firm for a more meaningful commitment.

Wow, someone changed their position on an important issue. Guess what, up until 2010, President Trump was pro-choice. Nuts, right?

Don’t trust McConnell, you have to protect the DREAMers before the shutdown ends.

Just resubmit the original bi-partisan agreement. We all know Trump doesn’t read OR comprehend so he will just think it’s a new idea!

If you think Floridians are going to forget you voting to increase the military budget and reauthorizing surveillance on its citizens you are mistaken. We know you are up for re-election this year and I pledge to remind Florida of these votes. Right now, you are caving in AGAIN.
-

As a Florida Regisred Voter, I urge you to Vote for Americans and NOT for illegal immigrants
Do the right thing Senator this Bill has nothing to do with DACA but with the American People and Families

This is a false choice. We can allow for DACA recipients (who must pass extensive background checks and have no arrests) to work, go to school and pay taxes legally AND fund CHIP. We had both those programs running simultaneously last year.
-
DACA is not in this Bill. The DACA bill is due to expire in March so there is plenty of time to work on this and come to an agreement. This CR Bill is strictly for Government funding that both sides agree on and it only affects the American People.
-
The only way DACA will get worked on is if the Dems hold their feet to the fire on this funding bill. It sucks, but that is the bed the republicans have made over the last 8 years.
-
This Bill is not about DACA it’s about funding Americans. Republicans are willing to work out an agreement in March or before when DACA is due to expire. Trump was willing to sign but Dems wanted DACA ppl to be able 2 vote. What’s more important staying here or being able 2vote?
-
Republicans have promised a vote on DACA since September, it hasn’t happened. Republicans haven’t been able to ‘work out an agreement’ this past year.
-
That’s because Democrats want DACA people to be able to VOTE and Republicans say, DACA people can stay here in America but they will still NOT be able to vote. THE DEMOCRATS WANT THE VOTE ONLY
They do not CARE about the PEOPLE
-
You’re right, Dems hate people. They hate trying to give people social safety nets, and healthcare and things like Medicare and Social Security.
