The devil is in the details. We still don’t know what Sec. Zinke really means when he said offshore drilling was “off the table” for Florida, but what we do know is that it was a political stunt and other states should be able to exclude themselves from this plan as well.pic.twitter.com/iChNi6q5yU

Oh, it was a publicity stunt by @FLGovScott and @SecretaryZinke all right. I found what Nelson referenced in the above clip. Zinke made the promise he may not be able to keep. Read to the end. #Florida @ResistARMY @CarolFordenhttp://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/2018/01/zinke-fl-got-drilling-exemption-because-it-asked-nicely.html …

This is a political stunt for Rick Scott's senate run. Plain & simple. No one in this administration gives a crap about the environment. The only reason they would b upset with an oil spill is the wasted $$.

As long as Trump owns coastal property in Florida, the coastline will remain pristine.

People who never swim on the beach use Florida as some sort of excuse to do absolutely nothing don't understand that people who do use the beach and not for luxury or leisure. Need a clean state. This is Native American country we're renting this place anybody got the idea

If the end result is states being able to decide for themselves to drill or not instead of being mandated by D.C., then I’d say that’s a win. Wether we drill or not, at least the people closest to the matter can make that call themselves.

Bill, even tho the No Drilling is by it's nature, bowing to special interests. Just not as blatant as most bribes. The tourism is $$ is nothing compared to Multi-million housing, mail box to mail box from Miami to West Palm They don't want to wake up to oil on their private beach

Florida is an energy dependent state. Florida is in the top three states for consumption of oil and natural gas. Florida has huge deposits of these natural resources off of our shores. Not to drill harms our major industries, especially tourism. So why do you not want to drill?
