    Senator Bill Nelson‏Verified account @SenBillNelson Jan 9

The FCC turned its back on consumers by allowing internet providers to decide what websites people see, how fast they see them, and how much they have to pay for access. I’m standing with my colleagues to force a vote on #NetNeutrality to protect the free and open internet.pic.twitter.com/hCv7ZviKRA

You want comcast to decide what you can watch instead? You don't even get to elect them.

I don’t want someone like Elizabeth warren choosing for me either. And I sure as heck would never vote for her! I can choose not to use Comcast. That’s what free enterprise is all about.

Warren wouldn't be able to choose. That's the point - no one but you can choose under net neutrality. Some of us don't have provider options because we live in the sticks. Getting cut off from news THEY don't want us to hear would be easy to do without net neutrality.

That improves access. Still doesn't stop a cable provider from slowing/blocking your access to content THEY don't want you to get to. Switching providers assumes at least one of them will not do that. It's like hoping no one will rob your house, so you leave your doors unlocked.

You are able to vote out all of your internet providers? you realize ALL providers can throttle your traffic to sites they don't want you to visit, right? There may be no "good provider" without a guarantee that all data traffic is treated equally.
