It's so sad, I'm sitting here with goose bumps. My thyroid pills were manufactured in Puerto Rico and that facility is not operational since the hurricane! I'm afraid of new side effects from different pills...yes, continue to spread the word about help for Puerto Rico!pic.twitter.com/10eHQIJRVG

Puerto Rico is part of our territory for work. The big manufacturing, Johnson & Johnson, AbbieVie, Boston Scientific et al make medical devices that are shipped to the US. So yes, it does affect us what goes on in PR.
-
So PR appears to do nothing to help itself, just want the USA taxpayer's to pay for it but PR doesnt pay taxes to USA, so they just want free money to pay for their corruption, move manu. to Florida and all will be good
-
They do pay taxes.
-
They dont taxes to the USA gov for their income that was made on PR

Hospitals in Florida are having critical shortages of IV fluids and medications since the hurricane destroyed factories in PR. No news coverage, no relief to the people of PR and USVI. Shameful

This is like Katrina, and the FEMA Disaster then. This is nothing short of blatant disregard for humanity. America how can we just ignore what is not being done for the disaster in Puerto Rico. What is the problem?

Bill. Did you get a cut from that corrupt Puerto Rican government
-
No he is pandering to the displaced Puerto Ricans that fled to Florida instead of fixing their problems so he can get their votes. The old socialist is running scared of Governor Scott running for his seat !

PR's current political and government officials are to blame for the terrible response and lack of timely restoration. They are inept and corrupt, no amount of our confiscated tax dollars can fix that.

I know some of the pharmaceuticals can’t provide their products to the US market. Which means the people working for them also cannot provide for their families. We need to help them better.

He must think Puerto Rico will vote for him. He’s been there more than we’ve ever seen him in New Smyrna Beach fl
-
Oh, it will, if the republicans keep their Tax on Puerto Rico that kills it manufacture... Several thousands already moving, will be many more if the GOP decimates PR's economy.
-
I’ve witnessed 30 years of business in PR the corrupt and foolish government rob the PR people. Try improving your candidates.
-
Removing manufacture from P.R. and then it moving to Vietnam, Ireland, Singapore etc will improve the economy? Will improve the candidates? Or maybe you will have hundreds of thousands of people moving to Florida. What do you think it will be?
-
As long as you get something for nothing

Senator Nelson and Congressman Soto, you are quite correct. In addition, Puerto Rico needs infrastructure capital and eligible federal grants that can begin the island’s recovery.
