The Senate should be voting on a disaster bill tonight. Floridians, especially our citrus farmers, still need help after Irma and Puerto Ricans are still struggling to recover after Maria. I am now more resolved than ever to get this done when Congress returns in January.

Thank you so much for your service Sen Nelson. Once the MSM goes away we are forgotten, but u have kept us in the light. If the GOP refuses to help Puerto Rico bring them here we will register them to vote and turn Florida Blue. Ur hard work won’t be forgotten on election day💝

Sen. Nelson: Please get the electricity back on for the people in Pureto Rico. I think it's a shame that we are the richest country & they are a territory of ours & all of the power has not been restored yet. Hard to believe.

Since corruption is rampant in PR why is it our responsibility, electric company 8 billion in debt before hurricanes and system was ignored, PR 80 billion in debt, help legal USA citizens 1st

I agree with what you are saying but they desperately need our help. It is the right thing to do. The average citizen there did not make the debt, the politicians did. We do have to help our citizens, too. We can do both.

taxpayer's in USA didn't make the debt or enjoy anything from the corruption, once we take care of the legal needy in the USA than we'll help the world, cut PR loose let them be their own country they bring nothing to the table but debt, sell the electric to a power company

I totally support helping PR. But, I take great issue with their officials who authorized $113M of aid money to be paid in bonuses. We will have to stay on top of what they’re doing with the help we provide.

As Congress goes home to celebrate the Holidays, 3.4M Americans continue to suffer- many have had no power since Irma, over 100 days ago. The feds response has varied between slow and shameful. Please keep encouraging your colleagues to act!
