Millions of kids across the nation, and 400,000 kids in Florida rely on CHIP to receive the healthcare they need. We must reauthorize this program before the funds run out in Florida next month. These kids are counting on us and we can’t let them down.http://wusfnews.wusf.usf.edu/post/florida-could-run-out-critical-kids-health-insurance-funding-come-january-report-finds …

Why do we have CHIP when ObamaCare was going insure ALL Americans have health care. Epic failure. For our Nation to survive we must have Term Limits so the talking heads like Nelson go away. #TermLimits

@senmarcorubio @RosLehtinen #Save the Children While millionaires get a windfall, innocent children will suffer! Surely after handing Trump his tax present you could have “some” heart left for people who need it & deserve it so much more

@SenMajLdr @SenSchumer CHIP funding is critical. View the country as your family. Would you buy your spouse a new Lexus before taking care of your kids health? Get your priorities straight.

I work for Florida Kid Care and this all is devasting me. I wake up every day to go to work to help these kids get approved for the program and knowing that might not continue is breaking my heart.

This is just the icing on the crap cake trump and the GOP are serving up to this country. Can't wait for 2018 elections. Keep positive. Thanks for your good work.

It would seem like a real shame if the only way the tax cuts could happen is to deprive kids in CHIP program and possibly other children's programs (SNAP too?) of the essentials that CHIP and the other programs had been providing.

CHIP could be in a clean bill by itself. Shows how inexcusably greedy the GOP is to jam it in another bill in order to fund it.

Thank you Senator Nelson for fighting for Florida's neediest children. If only there were a Bible verse or something about helping sick people, I'm sure your Junior colleague would stop voting to hurt kids.

If you really want to sustain this type of programs without bankrupting the country, congress needs to become serious about healthcare reform. ProPublica estimates the US health care system wastes about $765 billion/year, 25% of what's spent.
