The Sunshine State should be leading the nation in solar energy production! I just filed legislation to make it easier for homeowners to produce their own solar energy, while making it easier for renewable energy companies to create more jobs in Florida. https://sen.gov/1Y5J

With the GOP trying to bring back / create jobs that destroy our environment / citizen, this legislation is the right move for Florida!

The GOP is not the party of the future. Trump ran on bringing back coal mining jobs. Coal is dirty & unhealthy. we have other sources of sustainable energy we don't need coal.I don't know what future you think they're for but it isn't my son's. I'm a coal miner's granddaughter.

Great helpers, will never fully take the place of coal and oil. Hydroelectric can have a negative ecological impact, wind? You're in favor of slicing and dicing birds, solar, not constant enough and look at the pollution from the batteries. Dialog instead bitchyness is needed

Excellent. While you’re at it, please do everything you can to prevent Florida Power and Light from adding any more nuclear or fossil fuel plants in the SUNSHINE state. Wind and solar: we have more than enough of each. Thank you.

Check out The nonprofit http://solarunitedneighbors.org  which has opened up 21 cooperatives around the state of Florida and will be opening up six more in January – it is a really good way to learn about solar and get as much as a 20% discount-http://LWVFL.org

What about making it legal for people who have solar power to use it when the grid is down? Currently, it is illegal in FL to do this, meaning in another hurricane, solar homes will have power but aren't able to use it.
