This is something I’ve been pushing the Park Service to do. We need all hands on deck to rid the Everglades of this destructive invasive species.http://www.miamiherald.com/latest-news/article212188594.html …

RELOCATE them. For crying out loud. Killing off species because they are a hazard or an inconvenience to us isn't exactly fair, ethical, intelligent, or evolved. We are a biological and safety hazard to them, as well. Do we want them to rise up and smite us? I don't think so.🔥👽pic.twitter.com/8xZa8GPFIZ

Uh...think about it. Where can you relocate an invasive species? They thrive because they displace the indigenous species. Wherever they go, they will still be invasive. You really do have to reduce the numbers because they are artificially inflated.

They are considered “vulnerable” in their native habitat, so maybe repatriation wouldn’t be crazy?

You make a good point. (I don’t know about that.) I don’t like to see any species completely eliminated. However, they should not be rehomed in Florida.

It’s a terrible problem, like the lion fish, I’m not sure if there’s a practical, kind solution ☹️

As much as I hate gratuitous killing of wildlife, I have to agree with you here Senator. They need to be eradicated.

What are you doing about feral and outside cats? They are more destructive to native wildlife. What about big sugar and urban sprawl that are doing more damage to the glades than snakes??
