For an administration that touts itself as “pro-business,” I don’t understand @EPAScottPruitt’s decision to roll back fuel efficiency standards. Is he trying to make American cars less competitive? Is he trying to stifle innovation? Pruitt needs to go.

I believe he’s promoting short-term gain for current auto executives and shareholders by booting necessary efficiency standards down the road for a Democrat to deal with.

This administration is "pro-business"with no help from you or the other progressive/socialist obstructionists in the Senate.

Out of touch, unrealistic regulations don't make American cars more competitive. You sir need to go.

Clean cars that are more cost effective are neither out of touch or unrealistic. They’re good for consumers and good for the planet.

Sounds like a loosing business plan to me. Those companies that stay the course with fuel efficiency will be the real winners

Why would a company willingly choose to build a car that would be less competitive? Sounds more like something an artificial regulation would cause... Was the Prius developed because of enforcement of regulations or because of innovation? Volt? Why would that stop?

Because they’re not based upon scientific evidence and manufacturers stated complying would pose production problems. Obama DIDN’T listen, if you proposed incentivizing achievement of goals, then the goals could be agreed upon and advancement would occur, called Carrot vs Stick
