Thinking back to a quote that drives the work I strive to do each day to leave this country better for our kids: "There is nothing new about poverty...What is new...is that we now have the resources, we now have the skills, we now have the technique to get rid of poverty." #MLK50

Bennet, the Mergers & Acquisitions man for Billionaire Philip Anschutz, is working only for Big Banks, Big Oil, Big Pharma, Wall Street, Corporations, to make Billionaires and Plutocrats richer, but nothing to help families or make the country "better for our kids". #DumpBennetpic.twitter.com/9DjZek2kun

Capitalism has raised more people out of poverty than any other economic system. Free market enterprise speaks for itself

It would be more appropriate to say the combination of capitalism and democratic government has improved the standard of living for western nations. We're fortunate to have a (usually) healthy balance of private sector and government sector influences on our nation.

I also get the unregulated producer angle but that's not really a free market since economies of scale unchecked allow obtuse valuation

In a democratic free market boards respond to consumer sentiment light years faster than government

So why didn't "market boards" bring us women's suffrage, civil rights, LGBTQ rights, or environmantal protection?

What are market boards? Isn't that like meat and cheese with pickles?

Here’s a quote for you. Feed a man fish every day and you feed him for life. Teach a man to fish and he feeds himself. To bad You and the rest of the politicians don’t follow this quote. Keep them on the government dime and you get the votes.

Everyone knows the quote. I feel you're being too cynical. Perhaps the key concept is "teach a man" to succeed in society. How much does that cost? Our society is far more complex than a fishing pond. Organizing ourselves, & ensuring that everyone can succeed is challenging.

Think of it like this,Feed a man fish or keep people on Welfare or teach a man to fish or train people a job skill. It’s not complex. It’s called Dummying down the population which the government been doing for the last 45-50yrs. And this is where we are at.
