Too many politicians wrongly suggest that we need to make people’s lives harder to motivate them to build something better. The result: tens of millions of Americans' lives are too unstable to thrive no matter how hard they try. Compelling @NYTmag piece:https://nyti.ms/2MkTNLc

The tough love approach only causes depression, despair, self-medicating and self harm. But the people who take that approach don't care. The evidently have sociopathic tendencies since they regard the poor, sick, disabled and unemployed as less than human.

The GOP's delight in hurting people, especially our most vulnerable, says everything we need to know about them. IMO this is a sufficient and highly-motivating reason to vote Democratic.

I agree. Trying to motivate people by making their already difficult lives even more difficult is an ineffective method psychologically. When people know that external factors are really in control of success (rather than their own tenacity)they have little impetus to even try.

Jobs are great but wages are the problem. Too many CEOs taking big bonuses while the lower workers struggle. New car 35k, new house avg 160k, milk 2.50 ... wages haven't kept up with the inflation of products. Economy can't improve bc people can't afford to buy

Lazy, ignorant politicians who were lucky and/or privileged making judgements from on high. Looking for easy answers for humans problems which are the result of huge power imbalance and the range of individual need.

Th fact is we all thrive when liberals aren’t in charge. Liberslism is soul and freedom-sucking, and you and Hickenlooper are the king and prince of suck. There are over 1K indictments for CO about to drop. I’m betting you two are on the list. #TickTock #DeepState #QAnon

Sounds like your describing the Democrats plan for us. Keep it hard to get ahead and then promise us free housing, food and money. Politicians always leave office as millionaires. How do you do that on the salary your paid? Oh please tell us
