Over 50% of children now stand to earn less income than their parents. Instead of dealing with the income inequality in our country, @realDonaldTrump passed a tax cut & imposed tariffs that exacerbate that inequality.pic.twitter.com/1A92RPsHk4

If you’re following these economic trends, you’ll see that incomes are not keeping up with the costs of living. In fact, according to a recent report, 40% of American families last year struggled to meet at least one basic need, like food or health care.https://apnews.com/1d31cf4b56e449769ab4cb456237ea1f/Despite-strong-economy,-many-Americans-struggling-to-get-by …

Meanwhile, the Republican tax cuts are going to the wealthiest Americans & shareholders.https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-08-28/trump-s-promises-to-forgotten-man-undercut-by-wage-stagnation …

The measure for a healthy economy is not how well the stock market is doing, but whether working people can afford housing, health care, higher education, and day care. We should be working to make it easier for families to afford these important costs of living, not harder.

55% of working Americans have 401Ks. Everyone is getting a benefit from this economy. Also, look at historically low unemployment rates across all demographics. To say only the very rich are benefitting is not accurate.

Until the market crashes. 401k's are a horrible was to save for retirement. No protections are in place to prevent hedge funds from gambling away people's investments.

You have to be a complete moron. Companies often match 401k contributions and it grows tax free. Your ‘safe’ plans are all going bankrupt

Name calling is totally uncalled for. You want to have a debate? Fine. But if your strongest argument is that I'm a moron, then go fuck yourself. I actually lost thousands of dollars in 2008. Some lost all. 3% growth on zero dollars, is still zero dollars!! Math doesn't lie.

Everybody lost in 2008. If you were savvy at all however you’ve doubled your money since then. Stop being a fucking victim.

Stop being a myopic, self-absorbed asshole. Not everyone is savvy at investments and ppl working hard their whole life shouldn't need to be savvy to take retirement. Funny how my pension from my previous job was unaffected by the recession and not bankrupt as you claim.

History Of Gini-Coefficient US Neoliberal policy is the origin of an unacceptable gap between rich and poor. When low educated people in a society can no longer build up their lives, highly educated people must be retrained in ethics and solidarity.pic.twitter.com/OLmXoHcGQ2

Your statement is just not true. Obviously you don't remember having to have a physical to get health insurance and if you had ANY pre existing condition you were shit out luck being insured by anyone. Also private insurance with no checks will skyrocket because they will charge

Every time trump brags abt the stock market his base goes wild cheering him on. Why? How many Americans own stock outside their 401k. I had a tidy 401k & it dropped faster than I could cash it back in `06-07. To those that don't recall that happened the last time pres was a Rep.
