Today I met with a group of Puerto Rican families whose homes were destroyed by Hurricane Maria. Eight months later, they are among 7,000 families living in short-term housing throughout the country.pic.twitter.com/A58C1QOfkP

But that program ends on June 30th, and without proper assistance, many of these families will be forced into homelessness. @FEMA has the tools to help them.

Puerto Rican children and families continue to suffer from Hurricane Maria’s devastation. We cannot stand idly by as our fellow American citizens still lack access to shelter, water, and power. They deserve more from all of us.

Puerto Rican bonds were tax exempt. A wave of fickle money has left a wake of destruction. ...this is before Maria and the blackouts even hit.https://www.pbs.org/wgbh/frontline/film/blackout-in-puerto-rico/ …

Dear Michael Bennet; we are some 690 participants in a competition issued by GHR Foundation. Some of the participants is working exactly on these things. Give her a boost; They do a good job. I agree. 100%. But if FEMA can't be bothered, what do we do? Deploy the military to help, instead of the border? Because the best way to keep our citizens safe is to start by helping those in greatest need. We need a plan, and count on you to spearhead it.

American Veterans are still homeless after making the greatest of all sacrifices! Veterans first then the rest of the world! Vet housing before DACA and illegals. PR can borrow the money from China like we do!

PR is not a STATE! Seems they should have been prepared for such things since they live in hurricane disaster areas! Building codes non existent and nothing but shanty houses that would never stand up to any strong winds let alone Hurricanes every year!

Is property tax legal? Makes you a renter to the government, that property will never be owned. Follow the constitution. SCOTUS made a law saying blacks r property follow the law? Not the constitution?
