2/ the debt be any different than anything else. No agreement on whose problem it is or whose responsibility. Used to be understood as white people’s but those days are numbered now. Collective understanding the ship is going down & vultures just wanna pick the carcass clean.

3/ To awkwardly mix two unrelated metaphors. Not only are other issues more flashy (more interesting/hot topics), but many of them are more important substance wise. If we’re being displaced by mass immigration, who cares about responsibly minding the debt? A non priority tbh.

4/ The real question is: will this manifest in reality as an issue someday soon? How long can Keynesian schemes/monetary magic kick the can down the road? Or will this problem just explode onto the political landscape in a real & terrifying way while we were busy ignoring it?
