From what I can piece together (and assuming there aren’t members belonging to multiple caucuses, tbh I haven’t cross referenced), there are 4 wings to the Democrat party. Out of 193 members, this is the breakdown: 75 progressives 68 New Dems 32 Blue Collar 18 Blue Dog

Did my googles: there is a little bit of overlap between caucuses as far as membership (not a lot tho, tbh). So the boundaries are still roughly intact. Funny to see ppl simultaneously be a progressive AND blue collar Dem trying to get Trump voters back. Progs is why they left.

Breakdown of Republican Party is a little more difficult but here’s something. The Freedom Caucus is considered the “farthest right grouping” (lol) & has about 14% of GOP seats. By contrast the Dems furthers left caucus, the progressives, have 39% of their seats. The largest.pic.twitter.com/eBcRBq6A87

Blue Dog = switching to Republican

But it's a trade-off, GOP loses liberal republicans who convert to New Dems.

I disagree. Traditional Liberal leaning republicans are turned off by the extremists and lack of respect for due process.
