GOP turnout would've been higher had Kavanaugh gone down though.

You don't think Republicans would've been more likely to vote with an open seat hanging in the balance?
-
Depends on how that occurred. If GOP cucked, appeased Dem attacks, then that would have been demoralizing. The people that would "vote to defend that open seat" would always vote. Many others would have stayed home.
-
There'd be nothing positive to talk about, only bad things, and the lack of wall funding would have been bigger too. Not now..
-
If they voted against Kavanaugh on the basis of a technicality like perjury (even if it really wasn't, they'd just have to claim it was), they could have gotten away with that excuse while keeping enough voters motivated.
-
Eh.. I completely disagree with any point of view contending that it would be better to have not confirmed him. Nobody would believe that was valid reason. He was telling truth. Again, demoralizing whether it was rationalized or not. Owning the libs is what it's about.
-
GOP voters are fired up and energized now. They see their enemy for who they are. Even some establishment GOP senators got in on the fight. Normies came together w/ Trump supporters. All good man... don't over think it. Go vote
