A sampling of Ingraham’s tweets. Regularly garners in the 3-5K likes range on center right political content. Sports ball tweet 900, fluff piece on fast food 700, white supremist menace 700, Graham quote on GOP unity 10K. Her audience don’t care about white supreeeemist menace.pic.twitter.com/wdhRIM2y8l

Things are changing. The MAGApedes & normie con types aren’t rushing in & making sure to hit that like button to signal that “hate & bigotry have no place in our party” blah blah blah. They aren’t doing that anymore. The likes imply a shrug at best. At worst tacit support.

Made this point last night & wanna stress it again: not gonna over play this. I don’t think the lack of likes means we all white supremists now. But from the replies as well: they don’t see this being as menacing as the radical left. And don’t wanna waste energy fighting it.

And it is a rational choice obv. From the center right perspective, the right flank is their protection. Avant-garde. The left has always had theirs. One of the greatest tricks the left ever played was setting things up so the right must disavow their right flank but left doesn’t

Left doesn’t have to. The left always has their battering ram at hand. And can activate it. Hide behind it when things get to hot for the squeamish center left. The right is getting their ram back. And why not? The far right is no threat to the center right. Why attack them?

*too hot It worked by convincing the center right that the two were not equal: the far right was dangerous or immoral in a way the far left wasn’t, so the far right can’t be on the field but the far left can. A mug’s game. The side w/o a flank loses. That dynamic is changing now

The far right being given implicit permission to re-enter the political game is evening things up. More than evening it up: the left (both center & far) have gotten soft off too many easy victories for many decades. Far right has been in the wildernesses, toughening up.

Even the center right has toughened up. In a way they’re softer, made cowardly, like a battered wife. But in another way they’re mad as hell & not gonna take it anymore. We see that in the lack of signaling. They aren’t doing that bit these days. Finding their footing. Good.

The thing about both centers is they are softer (ideologically, politically). We don’t need them to be based. They’re the linemen in football, the pawns in chess. They don’t make the plays but they have to at least hold their position. Center right weren’t doing that. But are now

They just need to do their bit. Every player has a bit. They need to hold that line & play for their team. God knows the left does. They can’t break ranks when the left calls them a name. Not if they want to win. And we need them just like they need us. I think it’s starting.
