Tracey just pointed out how, despite they hype, no Dem Senators/governors were successfully primaried. And only 2 House seats (Cortez & that black woman last week being only two) were taken by “outsiders”. Does anyone know how this picture looks on GOP side? Anyone primaried?
I am. I just don’t remember all the data he tweets off hand. I know GOP had a slew of retirements. Just wondering how many (if any) incumbents got usurped by an outsider on GOP side of aisle.

about 42 retirements/resignations. Of those, some 8 were filled with special elections (7 Rs, 1 D). Most of those are filled by somewhat similar candidates, some better, some worse.

@VacaruVlad This is a decidedly contrarian but compelling view.@LarrySchweikart is definitely worth following in the run up to the midterms. -
I follow Professor Schweikart all the time, because he posts so much real history.

Just recalled, Pawlenty got whipped in MN gov primary. The R probably isn’t going to win (unless Ellison drags the whole party down, which could happen), but the pro-Trump candidate won.
