Should also point out: term originated in India (hence Indian examples) but definition at top of page is bloc voting in any representative democracy (not exclusive to India). You’d think the most obvious example of this phenomenon in American politics would get a mention.

If any one group votes over 80% for strictly one party I think at least some percentage of those votes should be nullified. I’ve long held problems with democracy and voting but this issue is one that consistently spells out the obvious failures of this system.
