Take a look at the corporate tax rates during his administration. The dems weren’t focused on immigration yet, foreign policy and economics were the main issues. He stayes aloof from economics, was sober with respect to foreign policy. So his conservative unnoticed- op wetback

Eisenhower switched parties and ran on the republican ticket. Truman before him had begun to roll back the new deal, so there wasnt much controversial stufff to do. Dems couldn’t find fault with him, though they tried, because he was a war hero, also level headed, etc
