You can see from these charts the 90s is where things start to accelerate. Yea, Hart-Cellar was passed in ‘65. But this is the decade where the foot goes on the gas hard. Despite GOP control of Congress from 1994-2006, they failed to arrest this. They helped it along in fact.pic.twitter.com/c63sTokbpp

“Compassionate conservatism” & “Hispanics are the natural conservatives/the demographic we need to win going forward” (a la 2012 ‘autopsy’). In 1994 they won on “cut gibs”. But they chose a policy of “mass import people who need lots of gibs”. Dems promise gibs. Democracy dies.

These charts are the data embodiment of that meme: from 1980-90 “it’s just a few, you can live w/ 2% less dominant majority” to 1990-2000 “ok you’ve lost 8% this decade but we need cheap fruit & to prop up SS” to 2010 & beyond where it’s now “it’s our country now whitey lol”.

Tocqueville was wrong, American democracy wasn’t *the* successful implementation of democracy that could last through the ages, but merely the least-flawed to date. The entire concept is a failure that ends in violent conflict and, more often than not, ethnic conflict or genocide
