As conservatives, we should not fear or bemoan a demographically-shifting electorate. It’s our task to make our cause relevant & accessible to more people — including those who may not be initially natural allies — secure in the confidence that our ideas are better.

Two caveats: 1) The left should not be able to transform the nation's demography without the consent of the citizenry and its elected representatives; 2) most people, I'm afraid, vote not based on ideas but based on perceived benefits.

Guy, the trends overwhelmingly show Hispanics don’t vote for Conservative ideas and never will

Maybe it’s not conservative ideas they’re inherently opposed to but GOP leaders who suggest they’re rapists, drug dealers, and murderers....and then still get elected by Republican voters who make excuses for those comments. Just a thought.

Remember, GWB won over 40% of the Hispanic vote in 2004. Yes, before the nativists outed themselves & helped engineer Trump's hostile takeover of the GOP, and yes, over smug Yankee John Kerry, but still

*Let in million of illegals and immigrants and take in more and more of Mexican population, otherwise we won't vote for you*. Yeah, such a great idea. Have you considered the possibility that far-left has spread since 2004? As they have. Identity Politics? Also:pic.twitter.com/oRvYMnXKmX

Never mind that you missed my point. George W. Bush won over 40% of the Hispanic vote before your ilk took over the GOP & told them that they're not welcome here.

Maybe the white share of the gop vote went up to compensate ? Oh but that's an embarrassing vote isn't it ? Maybe gop should actively shed white voters away ? White voters are the voters no one should court, right ?

My only comment is he has the causality arrow backwards. The immigrants had jumped ship from Bush to Obama long before Trump forced them out w/ his mean words. They were already gone when he showed up. And it’s not viable to try to bribe them back. Never beat Dems at free stuff.

Tbh, Trump hasn't even chased them away that much. He's at least as popular with the poc as the spineless cucks like Romney and McCain I think ?
