Someone who knows more about politics red pill me on this: what is the difference between a “R+7 district” & the fact that this district was R+35 in 2016 (and in the +20-30 in many previous elections). So what is the “R+7” then if it typically goes +20/+30 every time?
And apparently Independents don’t vote in special elections (I’m assuming, feel free to correct).

I would assume yes since they’re less invested in politics. Also if this guy was a Kasich shill, he’d have a harder time getting the base out to vote
