When you’re comfortable, it’s easy to weigh political differences on “I don’t like Trump’s tone (forgetting that you 2 years ago you didn’t even have a job) & thus vote for the ppl who will put you right back where you were before (or worse the way things are heading). Fickle.

Wasn’t meant to be anything profound but it would be a kind of paradox. Returning the economy to normalcy (3-4% growth) returns the political discussion to “normalcy” (pre-2007 crash) which was mundane & shallow & very, very ghey. And will bring further disaster of course.

That’s the problem w/ my post. Conventional wisdom is “good economy, GOP rewarded, bad economy, Trump will take blame.” My spit ball there was good economy will hurt Trump as ppl take it for granted. I don’t know what to think anymore. I’m tired of democracy tho.

It’s a very confusing situation to say the least. Many of the traditional (non-Trumpist) GOPers see politics as the next step of gimme. Oh we have a good economy? Gimme good healthcare. Yeah we aren’t in any wars, but gimme more anti-Russian hysteria to bring back Cold War blues.

Maybe before that was the case. But the left made the personal political, so there is no escape from annoying leftists. People will go and do it for Trump bc it’s the biggest FCK U to Shitlibs & Coastal Elites
