Hey, @YTCreators @TeamYouTube will you create community strikes for people who comment on videos? Like if 5 creators block them, they get they get their IP account flagged for review and commenting privilege revoked? Creators get strikes for breaking rules, why not commenters?

The simple answer is going to be cost effectiveness. It does not reward them to punish their customers, but it DOES reward them to punish their creators (in this sense employees, hired freelancers). Moreover, the advertisers don’t care about the comments, only the content nature.

Note: I’m not saying it’s fair. That’s just what happens when a company gets so big. Walmart and McDonald’s never have to make their worker conditions better because they’re everywhere, and YouTube is the same way. There’s so many creators, they don’t consider individuals.
