The sound of the final whistle. Nicholas Parsons was truly the kindest and most generous person I’ve ever worked with. His continued delight at being a part of show business should be an inspiration to us all! Huge love to his wife Annie and his whole family.

This is a disgrace. Our local, popular Chinese restaurant, a family business established 32 years ago, faces possible closure due to a complaint about the smell from a new resident. Please all peeps write in support of ... 1/3

Loving 's "Year of Wonder"... today's piece (Corelli) is so aptly described as "sonic balm for the chaos of daily life". My new favourite phrase. A perfect piece for the end of the first day back at school for the rest of the family. Thank you.

🇺🇸 The third set of SEIS data (covering the period from July 1st to Sept 30, 2019) is online. The two largest quakes recorded so far are included. The Mars Quake catalog, compiled by the Mars Quake Service, is also available. Happy new year from Mars !💫

🇺🇸 Mars is full of mysteries. The seismometer has discovered a strange, continuous signal at 2.4 Hz, apparently not related to the lander or weather activity, but excited by a lot of . This puzzling resonance acts as a natural seismic amplifier!

🇺🇸 Because of thermal variations and winds, Mars is a noisy place. But around 17:00 until just after midnight, the planet becomes suddenly very quiet. seismometer is then able to monitor all frequencies with crystal clear clarity, including bands invisibles on Earth.

🇺🇸 Cerberus Fossae is the first active seismic zone ever discovered on Mars. Located about 1,600 kilometers east of lander, this huge extensive tectonic structure was the epicenter of two significant MarsQuakes detected during sols 173 and 235.
